Thursday, September 19: Pre-Conference

Pre-Conference workshops will be held at Rosemary Court, located in downtown Sarasota 810 Central Ave, just a few miles from the Lido Beach Resort.

8:30am-1:30pm Peer Review; Midwives only, student midwives welcome with their preceptors approval; lunch included.

 

8:15a-12:15p OR 12:30pm-4:30pm Neonatal Resuscitation; attendees must complete the online course prior to attending this clinical skills workshop. Instructions will be emailed to you on how to complete the online program.

 

1:30pm-4:30pm Satvatove Communcation Workshop; walk away with insight and skills you can apply with your spouse, colleagues, and clients.

 

7:30pm-?? Bring your family and join your fellow midwives poolside at the Lido Beach Resort. Enjoy the beachside pool, watch the sunset, and enjoy a cocktain from the poolside bar.

 

Friday September 20: Full Day Conference 7:30-5:15pm

Professional Workshops

Breakfast & Check in starts at 7:30 followed by a full day of workshops; Medical Errors, HIV Update, Laws & Rules, Domestic Violence, Clinical Updates, Electronic Health Records, Liability Insurance Issues, Emergency Transfer, & more! Breakfast & Lunch are included with registration.

A panel of community activists and providers will discuss maternity care, innovative models that work, and the part midwives play in the “village” of women’s caregivers serving the local community, how midwifery can break down barriers to care, and how these models can be replicated in other areas around the state.
